About the game
Copycat is a narrative-driven indie game centred on Dawn, a shelter cat who considers herself wild and waits for a chance to run away. Her plans change once she meets Olive, an older Aussie woman living alone and grieving the loss of her beloved pet; the two gradually become close, and their wounded hearts begin to beat as one. Dawn's position in the household collapses when Olive becomes ill and a stray double takes her place, leaving the cat to fend for herself outdoors. Players roam alleys, fences and rooftops while working out what home really means, and the measured pace leaves room to sit with feelings of love, loneliness and letting go. The game is fully voice acted, with hours of dialogue and a talented cast, and Daniel Bunting composed the original score. Set in Australia, the story cherishes the bond between people and their pets in all its forms.
