About the game
L. A. Noire takes place in 1947 Los Angeles amid the post-war rise of Hollywood's Golden Age. Cole Phelps, a detective with the city police, climbs the ranks while handling arson attacks, racketeering and brutal murders drawn from real crimes of that era. His investigations bring him up against the criminal underworld and against colleagues in his own department. Play mixes chases and shootouts with detective work: gathering evidence, pursuing suspects and questioning witnesses, while facial animation technology conveys the characters' expressions. The PlayStation 4 release is an updated version that contains the full original game and every add-on, adds new collectibles and detective suits with special abilities, and reworks the graphics and technical side.
