About the game
POOLS is a single-player adventure whose main activity is looking around and listening to the surroundings rather than solving puzzles. Tasks are very few, essentially a few mazes, and now and then the game tests navigation skills. Nothing pursues the player or attacks without warning, yet the setting can feel oppressive, leaning on the fear of getting lost, darkness and confined rooms. There is no interface, dialogue or background music; sound and echo instead depend on the particular room, and moving through water is slower. No story or characters are present, but the environment shifts as exploration continues, and each of the six chapters lasts 10 to 30 minutes. The creators cite online phenomena such as liminal spaces, found footage and the Backrooms, especially Poolrooms, along with work by Jared Pike, Matt Studios, Mortain Colors, Andrew Quist and Kane Pixels.
Description from PS Store
One could say POOLS is like an art gallery where you look around and listen to the sounds. There are very few things to solve, practically a few mazes. Sometimes the game can challenge your navigation skills. But mostly you're just... there. Note: There are no monsters chasing you or jumping suddenly towards you, but the game can feel oppressive. POOLS plays on fears of getting lost, the dark, and tight spaces. The game has no user-interface and no dialogue. No background music. Instead, the game uses sounds to make you feel like you're really there. The sounds and echo change depending on the room you're in. Walking in water is slower. All of these things makes the game feel more real and creates a tense atmosphere. There's no typical story, no characters to meet, and you won't find any notes in game. But as you explore and advance further, you start to notice that the game's world changes around you. Rooms look and feel different. Each chapter has something unique. Constantly you're exploring new places, each with its own kind of mystery. POOLS has six unique chapters, each taking 10 to 30 minutes to play. POOLS is inspired by a internet phenomenons "Liminal spaces", "Found footage" and "Backrooms" - specifically "Backrooms Pools" or "Poolrooms". One of the original artists behind the Poolrooms concept is Jared Pike. Other inspirations include Matt Studios Poolrooms videos from 2022, Mortain Colors, Anemoiapolis by Andrew Quist and Kane Pixels: The Backrooms.
How is an order handled?
After the purchase you receive a set of PS Store gift codes worth the order and instructions: you redeem the codes to top up your wallet and buy the game yourself. No account details are needed.

Does POOLS have Russian language support?
Interface and subtitles: Russian, English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hungarian, Vietnamese, Greek, Danish, Spanish (Mexico), Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Thai, Ukrainian, Finnish, Hindi, Czech, Swedish. The set of languages depends on the account region and on the edition — the one shown here is for your current choice.
Which region should I pick to buy POOLS?
Every region has its quirks — a lower price, or no Russian language. Use the “PlayStation account region” switch to pick the one that suits you. Keep in mind that your PlayStation account region must match the one you pay in. Available regions: Turkey, Ukr. UA, India, UAE, Poland, USA.
How do I prepare my account for the “With sign-in” method?
Before paying:
1. Make sure your PSN password and two-factor backup codes work — the order cannot be completed with wrong details.
2. Turn off passwordless sign-in (passkey): the account needs a password and two-factor authentication.
3. Empty your PS Store cart.
4. Turn off the password prompt at checkout.
5. Remove all bank cards from the account.
6. If you are buying for a Ukr. UA account, spend the wallet balance beforehand: PS Store deducts it automatically at purchase.
7. For a US account, set a state without sales tax, such as Oregon.
With a prepared account, the order is completed fastest.
Why do the gift codes add up to more than the order price?
PS Store top-up cards come in fixed denominations (Turkey in multiples of 250 TRY, India 1000 INR, Poland 50 PLN, UAE 40 AED), so the set is picked for the nearest amount. The difference stays in your account wallet — you can spend it on anything else in the PS Store.
Does the game stay on the account forever?
Yes. The purchase happens on your own PlayStation account, so the game stays there for good — exactly as with a normal PS Store purchase.
I do not have a PlayStation account in the right region — what do I do?
Tick “PSN account registration” at checkout and we will register a new account in the region you paid for — 150 ₽, or free on orders from 5 000 ₽ without signing in or from 5 130 ₽ with sign-in. The account is entirely yours: the email, the password and every purchase stay with you.
What to do if something goes wrong with the order?
Open “Orders” in the site header, pick the order you need and write in the chat — you can attach a screenshot to your message. An operator replies.
