Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is a first-person retro shooter and the sequel to Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, picking up right after the first game ends. Its branching single-player campaign sends the player to previously unseen worlds, from a hive city to jungle mangrove swamps, where each landing site has its own conditions to handle. Two playable characters are available, each with distinct abilities, weapons and play style: Sternguard Veteran Malum Caedo and a swift and nimble Sister of Battle. Combat relies on an arsenal of deadly weapons, including a chainsword, a shotgun and a flamer. Enemies include Bloodletters and their daemonic Juggernauts, along with foes from four factions. Optional navigation tools, a guide and an automap, are included to help move across the battlefield.
