Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is a single-player role-playing game set on a ruined continent where alchemy is considered taboo. The alchemist Yumia and her companions seek the truth hidden in these lands and a path toward the future, while memory runs through the story as its central theme: the characters confront the past and their own memories, which become the basis for moving forward. The game cycle is built on freely exploring the open field, gathering ingredients, and synthesizing items that are then used in combat and to advance the plot. While out in the field, players can use Simple Synthesis, and the Building feature allows constructing bases and decorating them at will. The PS5 version offers a set of accessories that change the color of Yumia's backpack and Flammi's smoke, unlocked after base building becomes available and a Dressing Room is placed.
