About the game
Crusader Kings III is a strategy role-playing game from Paradox Development Studio in which control centres on a dynasty of medieval nobles rather than a single ruler. The family's power and reputation change from generation to generation, and when a ruler dies, power passes to an heir whose abilities and interests may differ considerably, forcing long-term plans to be revised. The player chooses the approach: act as a battlefield commander and defeat enemies in combat, or work subtly through plots and poison to advance an agenda. Marriages, struggles over the faith and the founding of new empires are part of the same framework. One person plays on a single console, while up to 12 players are supported over the network. This is the console version of the game, released in 2022.
Crusader Kings III: Royal Edition includes the base game, the Expansion Pass and Fashion of the Abbasid Court. The Expansion Pass provides access to the Northern Lords flavour pack, the Royal Court expansion and one yet-unannounced flavour pack upon their release. The edition suits those who want additional content for the game.
