About the game
Squirrel with a Gun puts the player in control of a squirrel that turns to crime in pursuit of golden acorns. The story begins with an escape from a secret underground facility and continues with fights against the Agents. It is a single-player sandbox shooter that also draws on puzzle platforming. The squirrel fights with teeth, claws and firearms, and 12 weapon types are available; the arsenal can be swapped and upgraded, and other secret bunkers can be located to take on elite bosses. Puzzle rooms are solved by creative use of weapons and recoil, and collecting enough golden acorns unlocks hidden sections of the game. The sandbox world can be explored from a squirrel's eye view or crossed in a toy car, while passersby can be harassed or asked for pets, and cosmetics can be unlocked.
