About the game
The action of Star Wars: Galactic Racer unfolds in the Outer Rim of the Star Wars galaxy once the Empire has fallen, while the New Republic works to rebuild and the underground profits from gambling, entertainment, and the pursuit of fame. This turmoil gives rise to the Galactic League, an unsanctioned racing circuit in which syndicates back pilots and fortunes change hands within seconds. Players follow Shade, a lone racer driven by revenge and a desire for glory. Races use several classes of repulsorcraft, among them landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers, and each class handles differently. On varied circuits rivals can be slammed, shunted, and taken down, with bigger risks yielding bigger rewards. A solo story campaign with shifting alliances sits alongside strategic PvP grudge matches where reputation is at stake, and each decision affects the racer's standing in the league. The game is a runs-based reinvention of racing.
