About the game
Nine Sols is a 2D action-platformer taking place in New Kunlun, a setting that merges Eastern mythology with cyberpunk. The hero, Yi, is consumed by vengeance and sets out to kill the nine Sols, the mighty rulers of this forsaken land. Fights center on parrying incoming strikes, landing precise hits, and using charged moves, alongside martial arts, Taoist talismans, and Yi's godly bow. Opponents include ancient deities and monstrous beings, and every boss encounter calls for accuracy and command of the full toolkit. While traversing linked areas, the player meets NPCs who provide upgrades, fresh abilities, and advanced technology. Environments and animation are drawn by hand, with an art direction drawing on anime and manga.
