PROJECT ZERO: MAIDEN OF BLACK WATER Digital Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5

About the game

PROJECT ZERO: MAIDEN OF BLACK WATER arrived on PlayStation in 2021 to mark the twentieth anniversary of the PROJECT ZERO horror-adventure series. The story is set on Mt. Hikami, once revered as a spiritual place where a religion built on worshipping water as a deity existed; it is said to have been the site of many gruesome incidents and mysterious phenomena. The narrative is divided into separate missions, each led by a different protagonist. To explore the mountain and its past, characters use Camera Obscura, a special camera that repels vengeful ghosts and seals away their powers, and that also reveals things invisible to the human eye and helps recover lost items. In the updated version, screen resolution and controls have been improved, new outfits and accessories added, the Ghost List updated, and a Snap Mode introduced where characters and spirits can be freely placed for shots. The game is single-player only.

Beyond the game, the Digital Deluxe Edition contains the 20th Anniversary Digital Artbook and the Past Protagonists Costume Set. The artbook opens from the main menu and includes images and background music from earlier entries in the series. The costume set provides outfits of protagonists from previous PROJECT ZERO games. The edition is aimed at those who want these additional materials.
