About the game

Rust Console Edition is a survival game set on a mysterious post-apocalyptic island, where the sole aim is to stay alive. Hunger, thirst and cold are overcome by harvesting resources, lighting a fire and building a meager shelter, though a roof over one's head is only the beginning. The island is procedurally generated and features diverse biomes, from frozen tundras to sun-scorched deserts, along with abandoned monuments and irradiated ruins. A player begins with nothing more than a stone and a torch, gradually gaining tools, clothing and weapons, while a wooden shack gives way to a fortified multi-story stronghold with electricity, traps and automated turrets. Up to 100 players share the world, and every encounter is a choice between an uneasy alliance against a common foe and raiding enemy bases for their loot. The PlayStation 5 version is optimized for the console with smoother frame rates, 4K visuals and faster load times, and the game evolves through monthly content updates that add new monuments such as the Arctic Research Base, player-made boats and new terrain.
