About the game

The Relic: First Guardian takes place in Arsilthus, a land left in post-apocalyptic ruins after the destruction of a great relic. The protagonist explores a semi-open, interconnected world and gathers Relics — runes that absorbed the emotions and desires of those who lived before the catastrophe. Character progression depends on these finds: more than 70 passive effects change skill mechanics, combat tempo, or a particular weapon style. In combat, stamina is not spent on attacks but reserved for defence and dodging, while skills recharge automatically for reuse. Every weapon and piece of armour exists as a single specimen, and five weapon types with twelve exclusive skill trees allow abilities to be combined freely. Beyond that, the player faces battles against more than 70 bosses, each with a tragic story of their own.
