About the game

This remastered edition revisits an open-world investigation adventure drawing on the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. Oakmont, a city left half underwater, has fallen under supernatural control, and a private detective sets out to learn what took hold of the place and clouded the minds of those living there. Travel happens on foot, by boat, and in a diving suit, while the open investigation system allows each case to be approached in several ways, with differing endings shaped by the player's choices. Weapons dating from the 1920s serve against nightmarish creatures, and keeping the protagonist's mental state in check is part of getting to the bottom of the case. Rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, the remaster adds Lumen global illumination, ray tracing, 4K textures, extra environmental details, and a photo mode. Performance and Quality modes are available, and controls, combat, abilities, game balance, crowds, and tutorials have been revised.

The Deluxe Edition includes The Sinking City Remastered along with the Merciful Madness, Worshippers of the Necronomicon, Investigator Pack, and Chicago Organ Grinder add-ons, plus an Experience Boost. It suits those who want all of the listed add-ons for the game.
