About the game
SCUM is an open-world survival game in which prisoners are dropped onto a hostile island and must last as long as possible. The action takes place on a 225 km² map inspired by the landscapes of Croatia, from the Adriatic coastline to forests, harsh mountain sides and high-security military zones. The character scavenges, loots, crafts, hunts, builds a base and fights, while health, survival skills, metabolism and fatigue are shaped by an intricate progression system. Danger comes not only from other players: former contestants re-animated as Puppets roam the land, and mutated experiments lurk in the dark. The game supports solo play as well as networked co-op and PvP, and the events on the island are live-broadcast, with a reputation system reflecting the character's actions. The updated version reworks the survival systems and the depth of the world.
