ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE is an arcade aerial shooter from PROJECT ACES in which the player takes the role of an elite pilot. Campaign missions combine dogfights and the destruction of enemies with dynamic arcade-style gameplay set against multi-layered cloudscapes. The pilot's story is told between missions through first-person cinematic scenes, conversations with squad members and the pressure of command decisions. The game also includes ACE COMBAT ONLINE, which introduces the series' first online lobby where players can explore an air base and customize an avatar before sortieing. Online play covers a variety of modes, including Co-Op and cross-platform play, with one player on a single console and up to 8 players over the network.
