About the game

Active Matter takes place in a multiverse where an operative is trapped in a time loop and returns to the same point after dying. A network of quantum unstable zones holds active matter, a resource described as both the most valuable and the most dangerous. Its properties distort space and time, producing anomalies, and some survivors lose their minds after exposure to the substance. PvPvE raids are played solo or in small squads, and other players remain the most dangerous enemy. Active matter is obtained by killing transformed creatures, taking it from rivals or collecting it from clusters, after which the zone must be left before it ceases to exist. A syndicate base serves for upgrading the arsenal, syndicates fight over sources of active matter, and weapons and gear are rooted in real-world military technology. Maps exist outside space and time boundaries and include a large island with industrial complexes and science labs. A network connection is required, with up to 16 players supported.

The Advanced Edition adds 60000 × Credits and 1300 × Prime (one-time), the First storage slots expansion and the First replicator queue expansion, the Brass knuckles knife "Bouncer" and the Recipe: Scout drone "Harpy", plus 8 sets of weapons and 3 sets of weapon modifications.
