About the game
Cairn is a climbing simulation in which the player controls a professional climber attempting to reach Mount Kami, a summit that has never been climbed. The simple controls let her find holds and place her hands and feet, while posture, effort and balance must be adapted to avoid falling. Routes are planned in advance, and pitons and resources have to be managed to survive the mountain's harsh conditions. Along the way she meets unexpected companions and hears from those left on the ground, and the story reveals the mountain's history and what she is willing to sacrifice for the ascent.
