Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – Deluxe Edition

About the game

The story centers on the Paintress, who wakes once a year and paints a cursed number on her monolith: anyone older than that number fades away, and the number itself keeps falling. When it comes to “33,” the group leaves on a final mission to destroy her. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG by Sandfall Interactive, made in Unreal Engine 5 and set in a world drawing on Belle Époque France. Its turn-based battles are supplemented by real-time input, so players evade, parry and counter, build combos by learning attack rhythms, and use a free aim system to hit enemy weak points. Equipment, stats, skills and synergies between characters shape the makeup of the expedition. Alongside Gustave, Maelle and the other Expeditioners, players trace the path of earlier expeditions and learn what became of them, travel from the Island of Visages to the Forgotten Battlefield, take on hidden quests, find allies among legendary creatures, and gain new ways of moving plus secret spots on the World Map.

The Deluxe Edition includes the base game, The “Flowers” Collection with six outfits and hairstyles and six additional costume variations, one for each playable character, plus the “Clair” custom outfit for Maelle and the “Obscur” custom outfit for Gustave. It is aimed at players who want extra appearance options for the characters.
