About the game
GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- is a fighting game developed and published by Arc System Works, released in 2021 as the latest entry in the Guilty Gear series. Its story heads toward a final confrontation with That Man, the figure responsible for the destruction and damage done to the world and its inhabitants, and follows Sol Badguy, his rival Ky Kiske and a starting roster of 15 characters as a story 20 years in the making reaches its conclusion. The setting is a heavy metal inspired alternate future. New gameplay mechanics are meant to let newcomers learn the fundamentals while keeping the depth and creative play the series is known for, and additions include a wall-breaking mechanic. The game uses hybrid 2D/3D cell-shaded graphics, and its soundtrack was composed by series creator Daisuke Ishiwatari. Single-player, online PvP and same-screen PvP modes are available.
