About the game
Metro Awakening is a story-driven first-person adventure shooter developed specifically for VR. It is set in 2028 in the Moscow Metro, the last refuge of those who survived a nuclear apocalypse, where ghosts and spirits haunt the living. The protagonist is Serdar, a doctor who moves through darkness and radiation in search of his wife and the medication she needs. Play is built around exploration, stealth and combat, and over the course of the story the hero must keep his sanity and awaken the being he will become. The tale of spiritual awakening was written by Metro creator Dmitry Glukhovsky. The game is single-player only and requires a VR headset.
