About the game
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree is a roguelite adventure from Brownies inc. and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., planned for PC in 2025. Its events unfold in a far-off mystic realm where ancient forces stir: Towa, priestess of Shinju, leads the guardians of the sacred tree against Magatsu, and their actions decide the future of Shinju Village. During battles she is paired with one of 8 companions, drawing on the sacred sword Tsurugi and the staff Kagura; every guardian brings distinct abilities and a personal set of swords, which gives each duo its own fighting style. Players explore lands threatened by Magatsu, clear dungeons and defeat his minions, while the soundtrack was composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto. The village itself transforms over time as its defenders work through separate timelines, and meeting the locals reveals their customs and stories; each visit also offers training at the dojo, summoning of powerful Graces and forging of new swords at the smithing shop. Single-player and co-op over the network and on one screen are supported.
