About the game
Age of Mythology: Retold is a real-time strategy game that moves away from historical settings into a mythical age shared by gods, monsters and humans. The player picks a patron from the Greek, Norse, Egyptian or Atlantean pantheons and defends a domain, calling on divine powers such as lightning storms, earthquakes or the dragon Nidhogg. Armies are built from legendary creatures, among them Centaurs, Trolls, Mummies, crocodiles that harness the power of the sun and one-eyed Cyclops. The single-player side centres on campaigns of 50 missions that lead through the siege of Troy, the frozen wastes of Midgard and the sands of Egypt. Multiplayer covers head-to-head matches and battles against AI on randomly generated maps, along with co-op and cross-platform play. The updated version reworks the graphics and streamlines controls, including support for a controller.
