About the game
Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition is an updated version of the real-time strategy game featuring 18 civilizations: European, Asian, and Native American from the original plus Swedes, Inca, Mexico, and USA. Players command an empire using Home City cards that are fully unlocked from the start, and can shift the course of war through overhauled Revolutions such as Brazil, Indonesia, and Egypt. The updated version reworks campaigns, balance, naval formations, and unit variety, and adds 30 new maps, a spectator mode, a photo mode, and a mod manager. Alongside single-player and skirmishes against AI, there are online matches and co-op historical battles: 9 scenario-driven missions inspired by real events for two players. Art of War challenge missions test economy, tactics, and combat execution, and the edition includes content from the United States and Mexico expansions plus a hero cosmetic pack, volume 1.
