About the game
Castle Crashers is a 2D side-scrolling arcade adventure from The Behemoth in which the heroes defend the kingdom, save the princesses and fight their way through castles. The hand-drawn characters are rendered in high resolution, and progression is built on skill points that are distributed among strength, magic, defense and agility. An intuitive combo and magic system unlocks new attacks as the character advances, while more than 25 characters and over 40 weapons broaden the options. Adorable animal orbs serve as companions, each with different abilities that aid the journey. The campaign supports single play as well as local and online co-op, and separate modes include Arena battles in team or free-for-all matches and Insane Mode, a survival challenge within the campaign. The Blacksmith and Pink Knight packs add character sets, while the Painter Boss Paradise DLC brings Paint Junior, custom character capabilities, new art for official playable characters, weapons and maps, and a custom character template; its functionality can be toggled on or off from the main menu.
