About the game
CONTROL Resonant is a sequel to CONTROL from Remedy Entertainment that casts players as Dylan Faden. Having spent years locked away by the Federal Bureau of Control, he finds himself in Manhattan at the height of a paranatural disaster and is charged by his former captors with opposing a mysterious entity that alters fundamental aspects of reality. The city is overrun by the corrupting influences of the Hiss, the Mold and other beings from beyond, and the lockdown imposed by FBC Director Jesse Faden has been breached: Jesse entered the Oldest House to face the enemy within, so Dylan must leave it to contain the threat outside. Along the way he develops his paranatural abilities, searches for his sister and uncovers what has escaped the Oldest House. Movement through the districts of Manhattan involves puzzles built around gravity anomalies that distort the world vertically and horizontally, while combat centers on the Aberrant, a shapeshifting melee weapon that switches between a two-handed hammer and dual-wielded blades. Character growth is shaped by choices about how Dylan's abilities develop and manifest. The game is single-player only.
