About the game
DARK SOULS II: Scholar of the First Sin is an updated version of DARK SOULS II, released in 2015 for PC on Steam. It is the definitive edition, bundling all DARK SOULS II content released to date along with the expansions. Play unfolds in a dark world where travel, enemy encounters and hazardous trials form the core of the journey, with both single-player and co-op available. In the updated version enemy placement has been overhauled, so zones once considered safe no longer are, and items on the map and their locations have changed. A new character named Forlorn plays a key role in the gameplay. Online play has also been reworked: a special item regulates souls acquired in battle, matching players of similar strength has become more consistent, and the number of participants in an online session has increased from 4 to 6.
