About the game
DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined is a reimagined version of a classic role-playing game in which the player controls a fisherman's son raised on the island of Estard. With childhood friends, he discovers the Shrine of Mysteries and is transported to the past, learning that surrounding lands are sealed off by a barrier created by a malevolent force. The game features diorama-style visuals with Akira Toriyama's character designs, a streamlined main story, and updated gameplay mechanics. Traveling between past and present, the hero collects stone fragments that open portals to forgotten eras, restores islands, and makes allies. The battle system includes new vocational perks, adjustable battle speed, an auto-battle option, and the ability to strike monsters on the field before combat. A new Moonlighting mechanic allows two vocations to be equipped at once, granting access to skills and spells from both. The game is single-player only.
