About the game
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is a role-playing game in which the protagonist pursues a rogue god across land and sea. The story unfolds in the Deadfire archipelago, which the player explores aboard a ship, plotting a course between exotic islands, interacting with inhabitants and taking on quests at every port. The game builds on classic D&D systems with improved graphics and deeper mechanics, and the choices made affect how events develop. Detailed character customization and free exploration are central to the experience. Up to 7 companions can join the party, each able to develop in multiple classes, while a new companion system shows their relationships and interactions. The ship functions as a floating stronghold that can be upgraded along with its crew, with skills chosen to survive dangerous encounters. The game is single-player only.
