About the game
Stoic's The Banner Saga opens a planned trilogy, mixing a Viking role-playing story with strategic battles as a caravan crosses a harsh land. The player guides that caravan through a 2D fantasy realm inspired by Norse mythology, gathering allies and deciding who will help face a threat to an entire civilization. Choices made while travelling, talking and fighting shape how the story develops, and victory, defeat or even the permanent loss of a character hinge on which fighters are sent into battle and what is decided afterwards. Running the caravan is as important as combat, because it affects the survival of the player and of a whole civilization. More than 25 playable characters from 2 races, humans and the horned giants called varl, belong to 7 classes with different abilities and upgrade paths. Combat skills can be practised in the free multiplayer mode “Factions”, and progress and storyline carry over to the next part of the trilogy.

What is a Steam gift and how is it different from a key?
