About the game
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is an expanded version of ATLUS's role-playing game set in a ruined Tokyo, now a wasteland overrun by mythical demons. The updated version reworks the visuals, the battle system and demon interaction, and adds new areas, music and more accessible gameplay. Two complete story paths are available: the Canon of Vengeance follows a tale of revenge by the fallen and an enigmatic cohort of demons called the Qadištu, while the Canon of Creation depicts the eternal conflict between angels and demons, with the protagonist fighting for the world's fate. Both paths present risky choices that shape the fate of humanity. Combat is turn-based, and over 270 demons can be recruited into the party; they are encountered while exploring wide open areas and searching for useful items. The game is single-player only. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Mitama Dance of Wealth, Mitama Dance of EXP and Mitama Dance of Miracles add-ons, plus the Demon Subquests Sakura Cinders of the East and Holy Will and Profane Dissent.
