About the game
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical team shooter where attackers face defenders in 5v5 matches. Rounds alternate between attack and defense, so players must adjust to the chosen operators and map. Defenders reinforce walls, place barricades and traps, and rely on surveillance tools to track enemy movement. Attackers use observation drones to learn enemy positions and the bomb site, coordinate breaches through reinforced defenses, and can strike from above, below, or enter through windows on rappel. Environmental destruction serves as a tactical tool: shattered walls create new lines of sight and openings. Playing is free, but some content, such as competitive modes, Siege Cup, extra operators, and cosmetics, must be paid for. Newcomers receive onboarding tasks and a clearance level path, while each season adds updates and new content.
