About the game
Anno 2205 is the sixth title in Blue Byte's city-building series, and its action moves beyond Earth. The player leads a growing corporation that operates on several continents and on the Moon at once, gradually turning settlements into large metropolises. The story rests on helium-3: this isotope, required for fusion energy, can be harvested in sufficient amounts only on the Moon, so a spaceport and a lunar colony have to be established. A session mode lets the player manage multiple islands and connect different regions instantly, and the islands themselves are five times larger than in earlier games of the series. Play is single-player only, and beyond the story line city building can continue. A new engine animates city life, including vehicles, citizens, factories, mines and wildlife that react to the player's actions.
