About the game
Motive's 2023 Dead Space is a remake that retells the story of engineer Isaac Clarke, who reaches the USG Ishimura with the shuttle crew of the USG Kellion to carry out repairs. Once aboard, he learns that the ship's crew has been slaughtered and that his beloved partner Nicole is lost somewhere on the vessel. Relying only on his skills and engineering tools, Isaac searches for Nicole and gradually uncovers what happened, coming up against hostile creatures known as Necromorphs. The final logs of the ill-fated crew and encounters with the few remaining survivors help piece the mystery together. The updated version features reworked visual fidelity and 3D atmospheric audio, gameplay improvements, and keeps the strategic dismemberment system along with the ability to repurpose and upgrade Isaac's engineering tools. The game is single-player only.
