About the game
SpellForce 2 - Demons of the Past is a stand-alone add-on that blends RPG and RTS and does not require earlier SpellForce titles to play. Its story concludes the narrative of the previous games: Zazhut is free and turns his wrath on Eo, and the player, an Elder of the Shaikan, sets out with old and new companions toward the Realm of the Gods, since only the gods seem able to oppose him. The campaign runs for more than 25 hours and makes nearly all races playable, among them Pact, Clan and Shaikan, with a choice between a female and a male avatar. Alongside roughly 50 main quests there are around 40 side quests with many subquests, plus new items and item sets, spells and weapons. Beyond the campaign, modes include Free game, Free game Coop, Skirmish and Domination, and the series gains a Survival multiplayer mode for up to 3 players with a new Boss Fight mode. The updated version features a major engine and technical re-design, and adds 5 new worlds for 8 in total.

The Story
Zazhut is free, and his wrath now descends upon Eo. The Shaikan are hopelessly outnumbered – but you, an Elder of the Shaikan, are not willing to give up hope. Joined by companions old and new, you head out towards the Realm of the Gods, for only they seem able to oppose Zazhut's power.
However, the Gods play a game of their own, and don't seem to be inclined to help you... The fate of Eo now rests within your hands; face the demons of the past, collect information about Zazhut and banish evil from this world, once and for all. Much has changed in time... are your foes as dangerous and your friends as faithful as they used to be?

What is a Steam gift and how is it different from a key?

After payment you enter a link to your Steam profile and the bot sends the gift straight to the account — you only need to accept it in Steam. It usually takes 2–5 minutes, around the clock.
