About the game
Players follow Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer, who is drawn into intrigues among rival forces seeking control of the world. The setting, inspired by the books of Andrzej Sapkowski, leaves no clear right or wrong, and the consequences of choices fall on the player. Building the character relies on a selection of more than 250 special abilities, combat skills and magical powers. Quests can be completed in different ways, and the narrative ends in one of three endings. Fights unfold in real time and draw on medieval sword-fighting: six combat styles, potions, alchemy, modifiable weapons and spells are available, while motion capture by the Metric Minds studio produced 600 combat animations. The enhanced version rewrites and re-records dialogue, adds new gesture animations, a separate sack for alchemy ingredients, item sorting and technical fixes, plus a system that varies the appearance of characters and monsters. The included additions offer two new adventures.
