About the game
Yooka-Laylee is a platformer from Playtonic Games, released in 2017. Players control the pair Yooka and Laylee, a wisecracking bat with a big nose, in a conflict with the corporation Capital B, which intends to absorb all the world's books and turn them into profit. New abilities are obtained from the serpent salesman Trowzer, and the heroes' special moves are used to solve puzzles and clear platforming challenges. Collected Pagies unlock access to new worlds and let players expand familiar ones into larger, more complex playgrounds. Beyond the single-player campaign, there is same-screen co-op in which a second player takes control of a co-op character, stuns enemies and helps Yooka and Laylee through difficult situations. The game also includes same-screen PvP, boss fights, mine cart challenges, arcade games, quiz shows and 8 multiplayer games.
