About the game
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings continues the story of professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia in a fantasy world drawn from the books. It is set in a time of chaos, as the Northern Kingdoms mobilize for war and mighty forces clash in a struggle for power. Players follow a non-linear narrative of over 40 hours with 4 different beginnings and 16 different endings, where decisions can lead to dire consequences. Combat fuses dynamic action with RPG mechanics: Geralt uses melee and ranged witcher weapons, crafts potions, sets traps and baits, casts magic and sneaks up on foes. The world spans trading posts, mining towns, castles and fortresses, with graphics and in-game mechanics powered by CD PROJEKT RED's REDengine. The Enhanced Edition adds new adventures in previously unseen locations, a new introduction and cinematics, Arena Mode, an extensive tutorial system and Dark Mode for hardcore players, and it includes the official soundtrack, a world map, a quest handbook, a game manual and the digital comic book Reasons of State.
