About the game
Desperados III is a tactical stealth title with a story campaign, and its events take place in a harsh Wild West. Serving as a prequel to Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, it centers on John Cooper, who seeks redemption alongside his gang and travels through rural towns, swamps and riverbanks toward a dramatic showdown. Cooper is joined by four companions: Kate, who has fled her wedding, McCoy, a hired killer, Hector, a huge trapper, and Isabelle, an enigmatic woman from New Orleans. All five characters bring their own skills: Cooper uses a knife and revolvers, Hector relies on a giant bear trap and his axe, McCoy works with lures, knockout gas, poison syringes and a custom long-range pistol, and Kate uses the right outfit and a hidden gun. Progress depends on combining these abilities and planning, and players may choose between non-lethal and deadly attacks, stealth and open gunfights. The Showdown mode allows pausing at any time to react to ambushes or surprise attacks, while difficulty settings and special replay challenges adjust the experience. Only single-player is available.

In this long-awaited prequel to the beloved classic Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, John Cooper will join forces with the runaway bride Kate, the shady hitman Doc McCoy, the giant trapper Hector, and Isabelle, a mysterious lady from New Orleans. On Cooper’s quest for redemption, his adventures lead him and his gang from rural towns, over swamps and riverbanks, and finally to a dramatic showdown worthy of Wild West legends.
